Introduction I will be discussing the difference uses of Motion Graphics and Compositing looking at different Film and Television examples. Motion Graphics Motion graphics is graphic design put into motion. Motion graphics is an art. Similar to graphic design, motion graphics borrows elements from photography, illustration, typography and more to create visually engaging compositions. Motion graphics are very useful for showing something in a more interesting and visually exiting way, which is why many companies use them to present their logos or idents. Motion graphics can be found on a lot of different media now days for example Tv, internet /internet videos, DVD menus and many others. It wasn’t until the 1940s that the industry has a marked beginning when artists Oskar Fischinger and Norman McLaren began producing experimental works, and in turn, inspired designers Maurice Binder, Pablo Ferro and Saul Bass almost a decade later. Inspired I've been inspired by multiple music videos such as "ispy- by Kyle ft lil yatchy" which had a lyrical animation text . this music video uses a animated lyrical text with a bouncing head jumping on each word and a yellow wipe transition on the text from left to right . Also use Selena Gomez video as a inspiration with its text onto of the video to give me more idea to how I want my music video to be . Ideas development My idea change a couple times but I stick with my lyrical animation and add mask techniques and colourful transitions the music video . why? I presented my rough cut to the class and was given some feed back on how to improve my music video . so I then use that feed back to make some adjustment and remove unwanted techniques such as transitions and and some clips. DVD menu - menu gives number of options such as to play from the begging which is at the top highlighted in green . Theres option to adjust your audio levels . The theme of the film also mimic the menu with colours and symbols . Website menu has number of menu to navigate through such as (HOME) being the mean menu on every website .

What elements have been used to create the sequence? I.e. photographs, video, animated shapes and   or lines, traditional animation, text animation, etc.  Animation shapes was used for tor the intro ,  traditional  animation and photographs. 2. What techniques have been used? I.e. 2D or 3D animation, mix media, photographic collage,   composition, kinetic typography, etc.   Saul Bass use 2D animation , mix media ,composition for his title sequence . Its very entertaining how Saul bass uses his techniques in his production which is very eye catching . The title sequence he use helps the audience get a idea of what to come in the film. 3.Break down the sequence in its different segments (distinctive sections) and describe it in terms of the motion: i.e. scroll, circular, metamorphosis, erratic, etc. and timings.                                    ...

 This is an example of a mask layer with a video or effect on top of the moving singer . Theres a black / dark background in the back of the music video to make the mask layer more visible with the effect . This is a moving graphic of the singer in a bus .In each window theres different shots of him in each seat . This is a duplicate of a shot for example the last three is the same shot . This   this is a birds eyes angle shot of the singer with composite effect which is most likely a green screen of him . this is a birds eyes angle shot of the singer with vector effect which is most likely a green screen of him . Gif Evaluation I was given a task to create a gif for my unit and was given back feedback from my audience about improvements and what they find interested . The audience was around age 18 -20 both male and female with mix ethnicity . About 95% of the audience like the animation because it was a fast paste gif with multiple colours all other the place , with reviews like very abstract and meaningful also very entertaining . My aim was to get that type of reaction from my audience and I have achieve it by adding a meaning and something very entertaining. From the scale to 1-10  for my visuals I was given approximately 8  which was good because of the colourful effect that was added and animation was 7 out of 10 . Improvements that should be made about my gif is to add more to the background and to make it more interested and something more iconic and something which people will be inspired to do  .
